This was formerly the blog of The Sandwell Valley Railway which was a G Scale garden railway in West Bromwich, England. I now live in Bromsgrove and I'm building a new garden railway, The Wychbold and Stoke Prior Railway.
Diesel is in disgrace. Not only had he destroyed Sir Topham Hatt's new paint store, he had also damaged himself so badly that he needed to be sent away for repair.
His replacement is Paxton, another class 08 diesel electric shunting locomotive. He is a friendly and helpful engine. If he has a fault, it is being too trusting, and a repaired Diesel might just take advantage of this!
No trucks were harmed in the making of the video!
More preparation for Paxton and the Runaway Trucks. The plot requires a thirty-truck train to be pulled by Paxton. Is he able to do it? Watch the video to find out.
A lot of work is being done on the Wychbold and Stoke Prior Garden Railway in preparation for Thomas and his friends next adventure.
The upcoming video will be called Paxton and the Runaway Trucks and it will be the sequel to Devious Diesel's DisasterI do feel it is so important to ensure that the planting around a garden railway scales in well with the trains, just like this verbascum.
There’s a new kid on the block. He's an oily character and doesn't mind who he upsets. Unfortunately poor Toby is the victim of his cruel tongue.
The peace and tranquility of the Wychbold and Stoke Prior Garden Railway is about to be rudely disturbed.

Emily is awaiting her departure time from the terminus station.
Meanwhile James, with his splendid new red coaches is pulling into the other platform.
When it's complete the railway will have 4 stations and 8 platforms. So far 2 platforms have been completed and another 2 are under construction.

Day: 961
Wychbold Station is in the middle of the single track branch line. Initially it will have a passing loop and a single siding.
Yesterday I laid the slab footings for the station area and today I have cut and laid the track.

For the first time today, day 945 since work began, I was able to run a train round a complete circuit of the garden.
There has been an eight metre gap in the branch line for several months. Work was halted as there were a couple of trees that needed attention. One needed trimming and the other one removing, including roots.
The one that need removing has been removed. Hopefully the golden spike will be driven in within the next couple of months and the circuit around the garden will be complete.
